Our French Immersion students have had many travel opportunities over the years. They have visited Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, France and even Jamaica on class trips! Visiting historical sites, learning about French culture, and of course speaking French are integral components of a dynamic French Immersion program. Strong leadership at the district level together with a dedicated staff and supportive administration helps ensure the sustenance and growth of this valuable program.

Throughout each school year, French Immersion students also participate in community-based activities. Some of these include:

  • Hosting French radio shows
  • Participating in theatre initiatives
  • French Immersion retreats
  • Judging science fairs
  • Helping out at École St. Joseph School’s Annual Camp de Neige
  • French Improv Games
  • Taking part in the Francophone Games as athletes, artists and group leaders
  • French Youth Parliament

* These valuable learning opportunities are widely promoted by our teachers and guidance counsellors and form an integral part of our French Immersion Program.
